Central Stories is delighted to present “More Wine Please,” a charming solo exhibition by Alexandra-based artist Katie Robinson that transforms our Heafey Gallery into a celebration of life’s beautiful, everyday moments.
Robinson’s intimate paintings invite you into her world of domestic bliss and gentle chaos, where cozy corners and cluttered tables become subjects worthy of artistic attention. Her work captures the poetry of lived-in spaces with warmth, humour, and just the right touch of whimsy that makes the ordinary feel magical.
Each painting is layered with personal significance – look closely and you’ll discover recurring elements that tell Robinson’s story: fragments of maps suggesting journeys taken and dreamed, chemistry notes from her academic past, mysterious bones, and wine glasses that appear throughout like friendly companions. These details create a visual language that speaks to the complexity and richness of a life fully lived.
