About Karen Wrigglesworth
Karen is a award winning ‘technical storyteller’ who uniquely combines her engineering expertise with geographic and heritage knowledge to bring regional New Zealand’s stories to life. Her acclaimed “Take Me With You!” book series has earned national recognition for making engineering heritage accessible and enjoyable.
About the Books
Karen’s “Take Me With You 3!” focuses specifically on Otago’s engineering heritage and has recently been honored with a Charles Fleming Publishing Award from the Royal Society Te Apārangi. This latest book follows the success of her previous works: her first book about Whanganui won an Outstanding Contribution to Heritage Award in 2020 and was Highly Commended at the Engineering New Zealand Heritage Awards in 2021.
Written in an engaging, storytelling voice with ‘engineer’s eye’ photos by the author, these books really do encourage you to take them with you and explore the fascinating engineering features around you.
