Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery is thrilled to present “A Muster of Creatives,” a vibrant celebration of artistic talent and entrepreneurial spirit showcasing the remarkable diversity of visual arts in Central Otago.

This inspiring exhibition features stunning works from 20 participants who took part in the innovative creative entrepreneurial workshops led by professional artist and teacher Nicola Bennett, an initiative of the Central Otago District Art Trust (CODAT).

A Journey from Workshop to Exhibition

The workshops attracted a wonderfully diverse group of participants – established and aspiring artists.

The success of these workshops naturally culminated in an invitation for participants to share their creative journey with the wider community through this exhibition. The result is a compelling showcase that demonstrates how creativity can be nurtured, developed, and shared as an essential part of daily life.

What to Expect

Visitors will discover an eclectic mix of artistic expressions reflecting the rich creative landscape of Central Otago. From traditional paintings capturing the region’s stunning landscapes to innovative mixed-media works, contemporary crafts, and experimental pieces, the exhibition celebrates both artistic achievement and the entrepreneurial spirit that drives creative enterprise. Some of the mediums that you will find are pottery, wood, dried flowers, painting, sculpture, possum fur, clothing, cushions and more.
